Final Swarm Armor Grading Guide

Final Swarm Armor Grading system — Crystal upgrades, nine tiers from Common to Ω (Omega), Armor Amulet Ring upgrades, and the 750-Key Skill Tree unlock.

What Armor Grading Adds to Final Swarm

Armor Grading is Final Swarm Update 8 primary long-term progression system. It lets you permanently upgrade your Armor, Amulets, and Rings using Crystals earned from Raid boss encounters. Unlike Chest stat buffs that randomize each run, Armor Grading delivers consistent, persistent upgrades that compound across every future session — making it the deepest investment layer added to Final Swarm since the Skill Tree expansion.

The system requires unlocking access through the Skill Tree for 750 Keys first. Once unlocked, you spend Crystals on grade upgrades that boost Health, Defense, and supplementary stats on your equipped gear.

How Armor Grading Works

Open the inventory or loadout screen and navigate to the Grading tab. Select an Armor, Amulet, or Ring piece to view its current grade and available upgrade paths. Each upgrade costs Crystals and moves the item to the next tier. Grades are permanent — once applied, they do not degrade.

Grading can boost Armor, Amulets, and Rings stats using Crystals found in Raids. It provides extra Health and stats, currently across nine tiers, the rarest being the Ω (Omega) tier.

Unlocking Armor Grading

Before you can grade any gear, you must unlock the Armor Grading node in the Skill Tree. This costs 750 Keys — a significant investment on top of weapon unlocks and core stat nodes. Budget accordingly: do not spend Keys on grading access until you have a functional primary weapon and the Damage and Health Skill Tree nodes at your target level.

After unlocking, the grading tab appears in your inventory alongside Chest opening and weapon management. Invest Crystals here before spending them elsewhere.

Crystal Economy and Farming

Crystals are obtained exclusively from completing Raid boss encounters. The R41D5 code grants five Raid Chests to give players a starting supply, but sustained grading progress requires repeated Raids. Crystal yield scales with Raid efficiency — faster clears and smaller party sizes typically yield more Crystals per participant.

If organized Raids are not available, focus on wave survival to bank Keys for additional Skill Tree investments while waiting for Raid opportunities. Do not spend Keys on grading materials outside the official system — no legitimate shortcut exists.

What to Grade First

Prioritize upgrading your current best Armor piece to Rare or Epic before spreading Crystal investment across multiple slots. One fully graded Armor piece provides more stat gain than three partially upgraded accessories.

Amulets and Rings offer supplementary boosts — Defense and Health grades on Amulets directly amplify survival, while offensive stats on Rings complement your weapon loadout. After maxing Armor, assess whether your playstyle needs more Health or damage and grade accordingly.

Grade Synergies With Other Systems

Armor Grading compounds with Skill Tree nodes and Chest stat buffs. A fully graded Ω Armor combined with maxed Health Skill Tree nodes and Epic Chest rolls creates a character profile far above any single system alone. This is intentional — the update encourages layered investment.

Mythical weapons from Epic Chest RNG still matter in the Raid meta. A Mythical weapon on a Ω-graded character performs significantly better than the same weapon on ungraded gear.

Common Mistakes in Armor Grading

Spreading Crystals across all nine gear slots at once — concentrate on one piece at a time to see meaningful stat gains.

Grading before unlocking the Skill Tree node — the 750-Key cost must be paid first, otherwise the tab does not appear.

Grading low-level Common gear that will be replaced soon — wait until you have your long-term loadout identified before investing heavy Crystals.

Ignoring Raids and trying to farm Crystals elsewhere — no alternative Crystal source exists outside Raid completion.

After watching, open the five Raid Chests from R41D5 and assess your initial Crystal supply before planning your first major grade.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I unlock Armor Grading?+

Spend 750 Keys in the Skill Tree to unlock the grading node. Once unlocked, the grading tab appears in your inventory.

Crystals earned from completing Raids. The grading itself costs Crystal resources per upgrade tier — quantities increase at higher tiers.

How many tiers does Armor Grading have?+

Nine tiers: Common, Uncommon, Rare, Epic, Legendary, Mythical, Transcendent, Celestial, and Ω (Omega) — with Ω being the rarest.

Should I grade Armor, Amulets, or Rings first?+

Armor first — one fully graded Armor piece provides more stat gain than three partially upgraded accessories.
